Machine: Standard gauge machine with a split MC button on carriage
Tension: 8
Yarn: 1 strand 2/24 AND 1 strand of a thread weight yarn or something like double strand of sewing thread with perfectly matching color
• Thread Lace punch card inserted (Aqua photo is of 13P card, elongated)
• OR program in a thread lace design on the electronic (Rust photo St World #414)
• CO 80 stitches with e-wrap
• K1 row; comb and weights
• K 2 rows COL
• KC knob (Electronic KCII)
• K 1 R to select needles
• Push in both top and bottom buttons of MC center button on carriage
• Join second thin thread in carriage feeder B
• Turn on punch card (elongate if desired)
• If using electronic program in pattern (set double length button if desired)
• Knit 700 R or to the end of a pattern repeat
• Remove patterning and second thread
• K 2 – 3 rows ending with carriage on the L
• Cut length of yarn 3 times width of knitting
• Back stitch bind off
• Press with lots of steam
• Approx 90” X 12”
It made a long, lightweight, soft, drapey, lacy looking scarf that can be doubled and worn a variety of ways.
