Ribs with Homemade BBQ Sauce – S

Make sauce first:

Sauté:   1 Onion, chopped very fine, in 2T Oil

Add:  1 T Chili Power

1/2 Cup Sugar Free Ketchup (http://natureshollow.com)

1 Can tomato sauce

1/2 Cup Vinegar

1/4 Cup Lemon Juice

2T Worcestershire Sauce

1/4 Cup Truvia, measured, then powdered

1/16th teas (1 heaping THM doonk spoon) stevia powder

1T Prepared Yellow Mustard

1 teas Celery Seeds

1 teas Cumin

Salt and pepper

Boil on low for 20 – 30 minutes, stirring frequently.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Trim 3 – 4 pounds of country style spare ribs of all extra fat.

In a baking pan, place a layer of the sauce, the trimmed ribs, then dump the rest of the sauce over the top. Cover pan tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 2 ½ to 3 hours. Oh, yum!  I doubled this recipe for 10 people and kept back a little sauce to heat and serve at the table. No leftovers. 🙂
