Warm, loose fitting, comfy sock-slippers for watching TV
Knit in the round
Machine: Bulky
Yarn: Red Heart 4 Ply; approx. 3 ounces
Tension: Ribbing – 2; Body – 7
Foot size 8 – 9 Women’s
• RIBBING: Cast on in 1 X 1 rib over 40 N ( 20 X 20) L most N on ribber; R most N on MB
• T. 0/0 Zig Zag R; comb and weights; Broken Toe cast on
• Set carriages for circular
• K 2 R; remove settings
• T 2/2
• K 9 R rib
• Transfer all Sts to MB
• MB sinker plate: K 1 R
• Cut MY; Remove on WY
• Ribber pitch to H3
• Change sinker plate to ribber coupler
• Pull 20 N on each bed to working position
• Purl side of WY facing me and WY curling to back, start on R center needle by placing L most loop of sock onto that N. Roll rib into a circle and place what was the R most loop onto L center needle and put loops onto main bed to fill the 20 St. (Center seam of rib will be back of sock)
• Reach under ribber and hang weights on sock
• Push knitting in between beds as you pull ribber half way up
• Working your way along ribber bed put rest of 20 loops onto ribber N
• Pull ribber up into place pushing the knitting down between beds and tugging knitting down from below; weight
• Circular settings on (Right PR button on ribber up and L part button pushed in)
• LEG: RC:000
• T 7/7
• K to RC 16 (8 circular rows)
• HEEL: T 6
• Drop Ribber half way down
• Set MB carriage to Hold; remove circular setting on MB; change sinker plate
• Short Row down to 10 sts (5 X 5) and back out; moving weights
• Fill holes by picking up heel of end ribber st on each side; re-weight
• Change sinker plate to ribber coupler; set MB carriage back to circular; Remove Hold setting
• FOOT: T 7/7; RC 000
• K to RC 50 (25 circular R)
• TOE: T 6
• Drop Ribber half way down
• Set MB carriage to Hold; remove circular setting on MB; change sinker plate
• Short Row down to 8 sts (4 X 4) and back out; moving weights
• Fill holes by picking up heel of end ribber st on each side and hand knit each of those sts through
• Re-weight
• Change sinker plate to ribber coupler; set MB carriage back to circular; Remove Hold setting
• Cut long tail MY for kitchener st and add WY
• Knit few rows circular WY; remove from machine
• Kitchener st toe from purl side, mattress st ribbing; Remove WY; weave in ends
