6 ½ “ X  52”

Bulky Knitting Machine (Brother260); Yarn – light 3 ply – (13/14 WPI)

  • Tension 1; RC 000
  • E-wrap 30 N’s (15 X 15)
  • Thread carriage on right
  • K 1 R to left
  • Comb and Weights
  • K 4 R ; Carriage on left (COL)
  • Push in right part/slip button
  • K 1 R to right; (sts did not knit – but this moves the carriage to the right side)
  • Remove part/slip setting
  • Remove yarn from carriage and pull a couple lengths out of tension mast

  • Hand knit each st back to A position (out of work)

  • Re-thread carriage on right side and tighten yarn coming from tension mast
  • Move all sts out to working position with flat side of needle pusher
  • K 1 R to left
  • Sts tend to not all knit off, so tug on scarf to knit those sts off (or push slightly on each needle butt to knit off st)

  • Move weights as needed*
  • Repeat from * to * to RC 200 (for a 52 inch scarf) Knit more rows if a longer scarf is desired
  • Press with a warm iron to remove the roll from the sides of the scarf and open the stitches; I did not press the very ends, but left a rolled edge
