Machine: Standard with ribber; insert fine knitting bar

Yarn: 1 stand 2/24

Tension: 6/6

Pattern: Any tuck pattern (I used Stitch World #282 and #268)

Measures: 40 X 9”

  • Bring EON into work over 30 X 30 on MB
  • With WY, K 1 R; hang comb and weights
  • Pull rest of N in between into work
  • K few R of WY; end COR; 1 R ravel cord; COL
  • Add MY and K 1 R to right
  • Rack H5; pull ribber into work
  • Pull corresponding ribber N’s into work with end N’s on ribber for FNR
  • K 1 R to L
  • Hang ribber comb and weights
  • RC000
  • Prepare pattern; KCII
  • Outside turn mark; T. 6/6; K 1 R; push in both tuck buttons
  • K to RC 300 to 325 (depending on length you like)
  • After about 100 rows, hang side claw weights, remove bottom weights and hang 1 triangle comb into work and insert weight in it; move up every 25- 50 R
  • End patterning with COL; for last row to right, turn off patterning; COR
  • Put all ribber sts to MB; drop ribber
  • K 1 R to left
  • Hang first end of cowl off WY onto N
  • Carriage tension to 10 plus
  • K 1 R to right
  • Remove sts with loop thru loop B/O
  • Steam to soften drape (can be gently stretched a bit to size if desired)
