  • Yarn: lightest 2 or 3 ply to match gauge, so it drapes well
  • Gauge: 6.25 sts and 10.75 rows per inch
  • Pattern: One Row Tuck (I used #274 on Brother Electronic)
  • Tension: 8
  • Sizes: S- 36 bust/hips, M- 40 bust/hips, L- 44 bust/hips, XL- 48 bust/hips
  • Each piece begins with a Faux Garter Hung Hem

BACK: Make 1

  • Tension: 8
  • Cast on (S 112) (M 125) (L 138) (XL 150) N with WY; knit a few R; 1 R ravel cord
  • Join MY; In stockinet, K 14 R; K 1 turning R at T9; T8, K 14 R
  • Remove knitting onto WY or a garter bar
  • Turn and rehang on same N with knit side facing you
  • With WY to the inside, hang hem off stitches held by ravel cord (purl side is now facing you)
  • Remove ravel cord and pull WY out
  • T9; K 1 R to join
  • T8; RC 000; prepare electronic pattern (or punch card); KC 1 button
  • With carriage outside turn mark, K 1 R to select N
  • Push in right tuck button only (One row tuck)
  • K to RC (S 180) (M 185) (L 190) (XL 196)
  • Begin arm hole shaping; on carriage side bind off 5 sts; K 1 R; bind off 5 sts; K 1 R
  • Size S *Dec 1 st both sides; K 2 R*; Repeat * to * 5 times; *; * Dec 1 st both sides; K 3 R*; Repeat * to * 5 times
  • Size M Dec 1 st at both sides; K 1 R ,1 time; *Dec 1 st both sides; K 2 R*; Repeat * to * 13 times
  • Size L *Dec 1 st both sides; K 1 R*; Repeat * to * 11 times; *Dec 1 st both sides; K 2 R* Repeat * to * 9 times

  • K straight to RC (S 255) (M 266) (L 277) (XL 287)
  • Remove patterning; K 1 R
  • Shoulder sts: *Put all sts to hold except (S 22) (M 25) (L 25) (XL 28) sts next to carriage; carriage to hold position
  • Remove those shoulder sts onto WY; drop from machine*
  • Push carriage to other side of bed
  • Repeat * to * for second shoulder
  • COL; remove hold position on carriage
  • T as loose as possible; K 1 R over remaining sts
  • Loop through a loop bind off

FRONTS: Make 2

  • Tension: 8
  • Cast on (S 112) (M 125) (L 138) (XL 150) N with WY; knit a few R; 1 R ravel cord
  • Join MY; In stockinet, K 14 R; K 1 turning R at T9; T8, K 14 R
  • Remove knitting onto WY or a garter bar

MAKE UP:

  • Steam all pieces
  • *Hang one back shoulder on machine knit side facing you
  • Hang front shoulder with purl side facing you (right sides together) matching armholes
  • COL; K 1 R with T as loose as possible
  • Loop through a loop bind off*
  • Repeat * to * with second shoulder
  • Insert sleeves into armholes with mattress st
  • Mattress st underarms and side seams
  • Weave in all ends
  • Add a very narrow, lightweight neck and front band with knitting or 1 row single crochet
