Yarn: Vannas Glamour (has sparkle)

Tension: 6

Beads: 46 glass beads – approx. 6 mm beads

Ball: 3“ Glass or plastic Christmas ball

Tools: Beading tool or pc of thin wire

  • Cast on with WY over N #’s = Left# 31, 30, 29 ** – –  26, 25, 24 – – 21, 20, 19 – – 16, 15, 14 – – 11, 10, 9 – – 6, 5, 4 – – 1, (Right#) 1, 2 – – 5, 6, 7 – – 10, 11, 12 – 15, 16, 17 – – 20, 21, 22 – – 25, 26, 27 – – 30, 31 (2 N’s to end with)
  • K several rows WY; 1 R ravel cord
  • Join MY leaving a 10 inch tail
  • K 20 R
  • *Place one bead on the center stitch of the group of 3 N all across the bed (12 beads) using a beading tool or a small thin wire (tutorial on blog for wire)
  • K 10 R*
  • Repeat * to * to RC 50 (RC 40 is the last row of beads)
  • End with COR
  • Remove sts on long tail of yarn
  • Run beginning yarn tail through beginning MY sts
  • Insert ball and pull up top and bottom
  • Mattress st side and weave in ends
  • Insert a yarn piece for hanging
