Full Needle Rib Tuck Baby Blanket

Lays flat off machine

  • Size: Approx 34 X 30 but is thick and stretchy
  • Machine: Bulky with ribber
  • Punch Card: #7 of S series but any Tuck Card will work
  • Yarn: Mary Lue’s Symphony 4 ply (very similar to a 3/11 yarn)
  • Tension: 0; Insert fine knit bar


  • Rack to H3
  • Cast on in full needle rib with end N’s on the ribber on both sides; L55 on ribber and L54 on MB; R 55 on ribber and MB
  • Tension 0; Zig Zag row; hang comb and 5 large weights
  • Set carriages to do a circular row; COL
  • Prepare tuck punch card
  • Set change knob to KC
  • Keep tension at 0; K 1 R to right
  • Release punch card
  • Push in both tuck buttons
  • K to RC 100
  • Hang a claw weight on each side; hang triangle combs across work and move weights from bottom comb into them; leave comb on bottom for weight
  • K to RC 274/275 moving weights up every 50 rows: COR
  • Remove patterning and K 1 R to left
  • Move all sts to MB doubling stitches; ribber out of work
  • Change carriages and set tension to 10 plus
  • K 1 R to right
  • Loop through a loop bind off
  • Weave in 2 ends
