Lap Robe or Baby Blanket #259


Machine: Brother Standard Electronic

Yarn: 3 ply or 2 strands 2/24
Tension: 8
Size for baby blanket: 35 X 41”
• Program in design #259 from stitchworld 1; when yellow light comes on put in the number 84 so vertical stripes in design end up on each end of the bed
• Cast on whole N bed with WY and ravel cord, weighting well and evenly across
• E-wrap on with MY
• K 1 R to left
• T: 8
• Turn mark; KCII
• K 1 R to right to select N
• Push in both tuck buttons
• Attach motor if using; Set all motor adjustments
• Set to RC 576 for a baby blanket; if making a lap robe, decide length desired and add more stitches in any number divisible by 24 – the number of rows in one pattern repeat
• Move weights up on sides every 30/40 R; move rest of weights every 100 R
• K to size desired
• Remove patterning and K 1 or 2 plain R’s to end with COL
• Pull ribber into work; Rack H; pull corresponding ribber N into work
• K 1 R
• Push a few ribber N’s at a time clear up and close latches, then push to out of work, dropping st off N’s; drop ribber
• Pull sts down to elongate
• Loop through a loop bind off
• Steam well and weave in 2 ends
