New Beginnings

New Beginnings

nb3
As we begin a new year, many are not sad to see the old one end, as this has been a traumatic year for some in a variety of ways. And, I like new beginnings – although I am not one to make new year’s resolutions. I think lots of folk avoid them for fear of risking failure – again. But, I did begin a project in the last couple weeks to clean out drawers and closets that sorely needed attention. Where does all that stuff come from, anyway?? πŸ™‚ Β So, I thought if I would resolve anything, it would be to continue that project until they all have been cleaned – again. A new beginning – to be able to find things I need and to just live a less cluttered and simpler life. Another new beginning God loves to give is to those that wonder what their future will hold. None of us know the length of days on this earth and we all need to be prepared for when the number of our days are up. The most important new beginning we can ever have is one with Jesus Christ as our Savior – to know that when we put our trust in Him, our future is secure. A new beginning that is a less cluttered and a simpler life to live – one resting in His work on the cross for us instead of striving to be good enough to make it to heaven. I wish you all a joyful and secure new year! πŸ™‚
