I have been so busy this summer with yard work and life in general that I have not been knitting or blogging. I really did not forget you, my dear followers! 🙂 Off and on I have been working on this short sleeved top. I wanted to make a dolman sleeve and used a hand knit pattern schematic. Not being a fan of “bat wing” dolmans, I found a pattern with a more modified shape under the arm. I used the standard gauge machine with a tuck pattern, but only pushed in the right tuck button, making it tuck in only one direction so that it did not knit up as thick. It is knit sideways, beginning with one sleeve ribbing and ending with the other sleeve ribbing. I rehung the bottom edges to attach the hem ribbing. It has a cut and sew neckline and I enclosed it with a sandwich band. I was afraid summer was going to be over before I got it done! 🙂
That is so beautiful!

I like it a lot. Interesting about the use of one tuck button. Will give this a go. Many of the tuck patterns are too thick for my liking. I’m still new at all of this.
