Thread Lace Scarf

I have shown a thread lace scarf on a post before, but I made another one and was happy with the outcome. It is a really long scarf – although one can surely change the number of rows knit. This comes out 12” X 90” and I double it, then put around my neck and the ends go in the loop created by doubling it. Even with all those layers, it is a lightweight and airy scarf that looks lacy without the time required for lace. The key to thread lace is getting 2 very close matching yarns. The first yarn was a 2/24 with 3 colors in it and the second yarn I used was almost thread-like and matched one of the colors in the first. But the flowers in the design show up as a brown in the rusty burgundy colors. If you would like to try it, the pattern is above the blog title. 🙂
