Turban Hat

Turban Hat

I saw a hand knit pattern for a Turban Chemo Hat and decided to try to make it on the knitting machine.  It is super simple to knit – just 250 rows of a 4 X 4 ribbing. It is only 3 or 4 inches wide off the machine, but stretches easily to 10 inches. The pattern is in the Machine Knit Patterns above. I thought the hardest part was getting the ribbing grafted together end to end seamlessly. Diana Sullivan’s Knitter’s Finishing School really helped me!   http://diananatters.blogspot.com/2015/03/at-last-knitters-finishing-school-is.html        The pattern shows how to put it on your head to wear it – such a simple, ingenious method that I must give credit to the author of the hand knit pattern!   http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/esprit-chemo-turban     I love to knit for a chemo hat charity that our knit club supports and more hats like this are on my to-do list!
